If he stays in Croatia what future has he got?

A better question would be “if he returns to the UK what future has he got?”. Lloyd holds UK and Croatian citizenship so he can establish legal residency in only those two countries.

On FB he said he pays $450 (£374) per month for a simple 1 bedroom flat in the centre of Zagreb, Croatia’s largest city and capital. Instead of trying to look it up myself, it’s probably better to ask the UK posters here, so I will:

What does £374 per month get you in terms of rent get you in the UK? Ignore London, I know that is expensive. Manchester? Birmingham? Glasgow? Liverpool? The Scottish Highlands? Orkney Islands?

I’m going to say that at his current rate of grift, Lloyd can’t afford to move back to the UK. He’s nobody there. He’s stuck in Croatia, and more importantly, stuck doing exJW activism and videos for donations. He cannot walk into an office in Manchester, go on about how he made YT videos for the past decade and expect to receive an offer of employment that does not involve cleaning toilets.

Even at the previous levels of grift ($5k to $6k per month take home pay), in Croatia he could have bought a nice home on the coast which he almost did.

Being close to Dijana is crucial at this stage.

If he left for a life in the UK he could barely afford and is contingent on his patrons not dropping no further than 400, he would not be able to support her. With two children in an impoverished section of a country that has a high unemployment rate, it would leave her in abject poverty with little hope of getting out. Anything would be on the table for her: a new sugar daddy husband, going back to the KH, or trying her own hand in exJW activism. She’d attract viewers and donators. Even with 100 patrons it would pay the bills for her in Gornje Komarevo. This is something he’d be keen to avoid, and especially if he cut her off, she’d have nothing to lose giving the details of disastrous 15 year marriage to Jabba the Hutt. (That would also make for a great book).

Apart from Giselle Bunchen deciding she wants some of that Evans ass and asking him to move in to her Miami mansion, he’s staying in Croatia.

Yesterday I attended a Kingdom Hall meeting for the first time since 2019. I had hoped to blend in as much as possible, but things didn’t quite go as planned.

Unless this is an English speaking congregation, I can’t see how he had hoped to have blended in effectively. I also don’t see the point of this video other than the novelty act of a clean shaven Lloyd Evans posing as a JW in a Kingdom Hall. Sounds like a stunt to get views.

For all of Tibor’s and that latest guest’s talk about having a JW Mindset, he really needs to take his own advice. He’s posing as a JW and entering a KH ffs.

Has there been any effort to reach out to any elders who were there recently? I know there was some mystery poster claiming to have insider info but it felt a bit sketchy.

pr0ner - He’s not really that much of a mystery. Kim Silvio can confirm that she met him and that he’s in Wilmslow. I’d tell you his name and paste the tweets but I am not sure how comfortable he is with his real name being posted here. Lloyd also tweeted about him using his real name and saying that they both went to the Wilmslow KH. I believe he was one of the 12 who received warning letters from Lloyd.

If he had the real name of “Geoffrey” that would be a start.

FYI - In a footnote in TRA, Lloyd said that Geoffrey was removed as an elder in 2014. So maybe he’s out.

I want to know why he made no mention of Dijana going before the Wilmslow JC to give testimony. After all, she was the one who found the sext that set this all into motion, right?

In a series of disciplinary meetings before a “judicial committee” comprised of three elders I was asked to go into extremely intimate detail regarding the nature of my online encounters, what precisely these involved, with whom and how often. These hearings were extremely emotional. I recall breaking down in tears on at least one occasion. At the time I did not feel the nature of questioning was overly invasive or inappropriate. I believed I was receiving needed discipline from God’s organization, and I simply had to man up and see it through for the benefit of my marriage. Of course, I now cringe at the thought of sharing such personal matters with men who had no more right to this information than my local postman or storekeeper, but at the time I was convinced it was necessary.

Uhm, who would also have information related to the nature of these online encounters. The person who discovered it? That's the whole intent of a JC, especially when there are two witnesses. Question them separately and find out if there are any details that don't mesh. Her testimony is a HUGE detail he's leaving out of the Wilmslow JC. He met them 3 times. How many did she go to?

Lloyd's always so quick to bring his wife into everything and use her as a shield. When the JC happened in Sisak, he spared no detail in saying how upset his wife was and how she refused to have any contact with the elders. This had been his MO on this forum as well. "This is upsetting my wife! You must stop- criticising my article about Candace Conti winning the deed to Patterson. You owe me and my wife an apology!" After the livestream it was all about how it upset her and always you are attacking "us", "we", "our family".

Yet here is the star witness whose testimony is at the very crux of his sexting scandal at the Wilmslow JC, and not one word about her going to give testimony and how upset she was about going into personal matters. He did manage to relate how emotional it all was and how he was in tears. Hmmm, I think that would also drive Dijana to tears, probably even more so as she thought her husband wasn't attracted to her (his words). They would have quizzed her on their sex life, what the sext said, if she found any others (she did), if she found out who this other person was, and other very probing questions.

If he had his way, they would have gone straight to Croatia. This was her idea, wasn't it?

Dijana made it clear that she wanted the intervention of the elders, no matter the outcome. After all, this was not a one-off incident. Dijana had caught me in a similar situation only a few months after we were married, and previous attempts at sorting out my issues had clearly failed.

Well Lloyd, you told us everything else. Why does her involvement mysteriously end here, and you are the one facing the elders alone? Forgot to put that part in?

Or was forum poster Raymond Frantz correct in saying there was no Wilmslow JC, only a Bramhall one where you were removed as an elder. If Dijana had been trying to get back to Croatia to help her ailing parents, then she chose the path that would have likely placed the most obstacles in front of them both. This makes more sense if he had already been removed as an elder and privileges taken away. Of course she could have been a die-hard JW and wanted to go by the book, but Lloyd seems to always get what he wants when it concerns them.

I have no clue what Geoffrey is like. But I have no doubt that he is protrayed in TRA in the worst possible light.

I feel that the story of Geoffrey and his list of grievances against him was to put forth a particular narrative of oppression and to play the mythical "good elder". Also, it was a handy way to explain this subsequent passage after Dijana found the sext:

Dijana agreed that Geoffrey was the last person to involve in fixing our problems.

Well Dijana agreed with him that Geoffrey was a "bad elder", so you see, this is why we had to leave Bramhall so quickly and make preparations for Croatia!

It's like reading the Hebrew Scriptures. There are sensational stories about Moses parting the Red Sea and Noah and his ark. If you assume these are real figures in history, you need to filter the bullshit out. Therefore: Moses and Aaron led a Hebrew slave revolt and many people died. allegorically accounted for by the Golden Calf and Korah/Dathan massacres. Evans is the same way. Filter the bullshit out, and you'll find only a half-completed story with glaring omissions that manages to raise many more questions than what he had originally intended.

Sometimes though I think just as simple theories are plausible as well given his nature.

This is why I read the relevant passages in TRA to see where his mind was and how he interpreted it. Lloyd is a difficult and confrontational person, so I can see Geoffrey taking an instant dislike to him when he showed up with a Bible on his doorstep. It probably was a lot more confrontational than that and him piously counseling him through scripture only made things worse. Not a whole lot of elders would have taken kindly to that kind of intervention.

Still - I don’t see how that alone would be a reason for Geoffrey to take this to Bethel and furthermore, have them actually adjudicate. There had to be something else he was sure he’d nail Lloyd on, and per Lloyd’s own account, he did. And also per Lloyd’s account, this was shortly before Dijana caught him sexting. So it had nothing to do with that particular account he related in his book.

The problem with taking all of this at face value is the fact that Lloyd is a known liar who will always paint a rosier picture than reality to make himself seem to be the innocent party.

I was a JW long enough to know that you don’t get to sin in one congregation, hold onto the info just long enough to transfer to a new congregation, and then confess. Shady action like that is enough for them to conclude you aren’t really repentant and are looking to escape punishment. Chances are they make you go back to the nearby congregation you just fled to face a JC.

Did his father’s influence get him a Wilmslow JC? Maybe. But it’s risky and would put his father right in the crosshairs of Geoffrey, who had already had Bethel rule in his favour against Lloyd. Or maybe the only JC was in Bramhall and him writing about how he had to flee to Wilmslow to get a fair hearing was to hammer home the fact that he felt he was being unfairly hounded by elders.

It’s certainly plausible that second JC never happened. There’s just so many holes in this story and when you plug in WT policy, much of it simply doesn’t mesh.

He got removed as an elder in Bramhall that's a fact, so things were already serious there ,that is why he quickly moved congregations because they were getting ready for stage 2

It’s so crazy when you think about it. They both had jobs and had a sweetheart deal from a local JW for a nice place on a cul-de-sac for £400 a month. Why would you give that up in exchange for a life of poverty with no immediate job prospects in Gornje Komarevo? He claimed they moved to help her parents who had health problems. They were more of a burden than anything. More mouths to feed.

The move back to Wilmslow sounds like a cover for what he intended to do. If Geoffrey and the gang knew he was headed for Croatia they might have acted more urgently.

I’d bet Boss Hogg “loves” it too in his own way. Probably checks in every night. I’d would too if I had as much free time as him and my career is hinging on fading hope that people stop talking about the scandal. I’ll attempt to express an evening in the life of Lloyd Evans by writing in prose.

No. Dijana shouldn't be going to the Kingdom Hall, nor should anyone here encourage her to. (Though if it were me, I'd take the girls for a one-off Memorial visit just to fuck with Jabba the Hutt and see him melt down on Twitter)

She seems to be supportive of environmental causes and animal rights (particularly whales). It would be quite a bit of a pivot to drop all that and convince yourself that Jehovah is going to take care of all that in due time.

What she should do that would be constructive and beneficial for the girls is working on repairing the damage Lloyd had done to her relationship with her parents. It sounds like they still wanted to be a part of hers and the girls' lives. Lloyd was the one who set all these series of rules for them. No preaching to the girls should be the only rule that is necessary. Perhaps they could provide a vital link between them and their family history, Croatian culture and heritage.

Oh. And please do find a man. It'll be great for her own fulfillment, and she'll find out how it is really like to have sex that doesn't require her partner fluffing himself up to porn prior. The girls might actually have a positive male role model for the first time in their lives.

dont believe his lies. He got removed for crossing the line and sexting an elders daughter.

I don’t believe his version of events. What I do believe is that when he wrote that book, he felt exJWs would consider it as the next Crisis of Conscience and believe every word of it. He knew there would be people in the UK and Croatia who could blow the whistle on him, so if he put out his sanitised story first, he’d gain control of the narrative.

He went into great detail regarding his feud with Geoffrey. As he described it, it was essentially a clash of personalities. Geoffrey was the senior elder and didn’t appreciate the haughty Evans kid from Wilmslow coming into Bramhall and thinking he was his equal. The argument basically boiled down to Geoffrey policing the romantic lives of the congregation. Geoffrey’s sister tried to date when her divorce wasn’t final, so he marked her and called out people who were seen as too friendly with her, including Lloyd. He also instructed a Bible Study of Lloyd’s to stop dating a woman from another congregation. Typical elder bullshit, nothing out of the ordinary. Lloyd tried to correct him and they clashed even further.

Here’s where it became obvious he wasn’t telling the whole truth: Bethel got involved when Geoffrey took his dispute with Lloyd to them behind the BOE’s back. If this was just a dispute between two power hungry elders, this is handled by the CO or DO if needed. Geoffrey had to have something serious on Lloyd to get Bethel involved, something like you suggested. Otherwise for legal and practical reasons they delegate to the CO. Only reason Bethel mediates is when this can directly affect them in the form of a potential lawsuit or likewise.

Lloyd and Geoffrey butting heads over personal issues doesn’t make the cut.

For something as serious as underage sexting and flirtation, I’d imagine that it’s in Bethel’s interest to calm the situation down so that Geoffrey in a fit of anger doesn’t call the police. They need to placate Geoffrey by dishing out tangible punishment for Lloyd. They also want to neutralise Lloyd but at the same time not trigger him to do something out of spite, so they essentially demote him to being an elder in name only.

I could be off on some of the details, but this is my attempt to filter out the bullshit from what Lloyd was saying in his book.
